Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has joined Danish Super Liga club SonderjyskE on a one-year contract.

SonderjyskE have the option to extend the contract for two more seasons.

The 27-year-old linked up with the club as a free agent after severing links with Turkish Super Lig outfit Denizilspor earlier in the summer over unpaid wages.

He had earlier passed a medical at Crotone but it appears he pulled out a move to the promoted side after he was given a pay-as-you-play deal.

Onazi started his professional career in Italy with SSC Lazio before moving to Trabzonspor FC in Turkey.

He later secured a move to Denizlispor before terminating his contract at the end of last season.
