The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has condemned what it calls Illegal invasion of the Abuja office of the League Management company, LMC by men believed to be detectives from the Nigerian Police Command on Wednesday.
The federation describes the invasion aimed at arresting the LMC Chairman, Shehu Dikko and COO, Salihu Abubakar, as a flagrant abuse of the country’s judicial system.
A Federal high court in Jos, Plateau State had issued a warrant of arrest for the LMC chieftains on Tuesday for allegedly disobeying court orders.
But the NFF has pledged its support for the LMC and its officials, saying it will continue its quest for justice and ensure Nigerian Football does not suffer at the end of this ugly incident.
