Nigeria’s men table tennis team have qualified for the 2018 International Table Tennis Federation’s World Team Championships in Sweden next year following their second-place finish at the ongoing 2016 ITTF Africa Senior Championships in Morocco.
Egypt also qualified for the Sweden championships after beating Nigeria in the men’s team event final.
However, Nigeria’s women’s team will not be at the competition after failing to appear at the tournament.
According to ITTF Africa, the Morocco tournament serves as qualifiers for the ITTF competitions in 2017 and 2018.
